Lousiville Soph Akoy Agau

Well I really doubt he has any interest in Iowa when ISU is right down the road and they are a superior bball program that is known to take in transfers.

I've seen threads on all of the transfers that have popped up lately. I'm not sure on the numbers but wouldn't Fran have to pull an offer from one of the 2015 recruits in order to get one of these on scholarship next year? The class is loaded up is it not?

One scholly left I believe...

Unlike ISU transfers, Akoy left on his own.

You peaked my interest in this kid so I did some research. I'm not sure he really left on his own. Sounds like he wasn't getting any playing time and was gently pushed out the door at Louisville.

Since we are clearly miles behind Louisville, I wouldn't mind giving him a shot. How many years would he have to play? 2?

As far as I can tell he wasn't a bad apple like Lucious, White, Dejean-Jones, etc.

I am guessing that he might have 2 1/2 years left since he is transferring out at the semester break. Assuming Fran were interested, after next year we graduate Woody so we have no legit post/rim protector on the roster at this point. Knowing our luck he will go somewhere where they have an over abundance of players at his spot.

There are no half years, once you've played a game, it's a full season barring a medical redshirt.

What's the story on the ISU transfer that's eligible at semester?

He never played for Marquette. He loses a semester due to the rule that you have to establish residency at your new school for two semesters. He played two years at Indian Hills and will have one a half years at ISU. This guy has already played two years at Louisville, he will either be able to play one and a half years beginning at the second semester next year or he can sit out all of next year and play two full years starting in Fall 2016.

Gotcha thanks. I try to keep up with ISU as little as possible.
