losing to ISU sucks...

...any year and this one maybe worse than most, given what expectations were. But that's not what has me so angry and hopeless...its the fact that the team I saw Saturday could possible be the Worst in the B1G, and I am serious. Indiana, Purdue, Illinois, Maryland, and Rutgers all have punchers chances as they have all shown they can, at least sometimes, score a lot of points.

Let me repeat that, if we can't win both of the next two games and show serious offensive improvement, The Iowa Hawkeyes could literally be challenging for the bottom, if a weakened conference.

Its sickening.

Look at the positives...

We narrowly won against UNI, which is a decent FCS team.

And we narrowly won against Ball State. Pay no attention that Ball State just lost at home to Indiana State, which is a mediocre FCS team.

It won't get that bad.........If it does, hello Mark Stoops.

The reason it's brutal isn't because it's Iowa State, or because they are an in-state rival, or because of any hatred towards them. It's because they always end up with a losing record, every season. If they would go out and win 8 or 9 games, it wouldn't be pain free but at least you can look at it and say we lost to a good team. That's never the case. That's why everyone teases ISU and calls the Iowa game their Super Bowl. It seems like they play out of their minds against Iowa and **** down their legs the rest of the season.

Probably more accurate. Pretty evenly matched teams this year with ISU being slightly better based on the evidence at hand.

BINGO!!! I was just going to say the same thing. When has Iowa State ever beaten a GOOD Iowa team and then gone on to do just as good as Iowa? There isn't. That's why it's so frustrating. It ends up being a bad loss for Iowa. Iowa State has never beaten a good Iowa team and then validated that win with a successful season. They've beaten some bad Iowa teams and gone onto a 6-6 season but if they end up being better than Iowa, then it's not a good win. This year is looking a lot like 2012.

Hawkforlife9 and clicheusername3 shouldn't you two bozos be over at cyclonefanatic celebrating your Super Bowl victory?

If not for the seemingly endless chorus line of delusion here there would not be a pot to stir.

I see a lot if anger and disappointment here, very little delusion though. ISU played better, had a better game plan, was coached better(again), and yes...executed better when it mattered.

But much like many of the years ISU has won this game, the fact remains they are a bad team that will likely win less than 5 games. The primary difference this year, is that we are seeing that Iowa might be in the same crappy boat. And that, sucks.

cliche doesnt root for anybody. he just likes to get under everybody's skin. even if we had won yesterday, he'd still be on here doing his best imitation of sandpaper.

Wow, if that is true and he doesn't root for either team and spends that much time here, that is really sad and pathetic way to get kicks.

ummm, no. no it's not. I can bring forward decades of evidence to the contrary. Losing to a top 25 team is one thing. Losing 52 - 17 to a top 25 team is another thing entirely. Paul Rhoades has lost by 3 TDs or more....17 TIMES since he took the job in 09'.
All losses are not equal.
