Looks like Hawks will be big underdogs in 3 of last 4

Nebraska looked very good last night especially on the defensive side. Penn State seems to be hitting stride and Michigan is just out of reach. I guess we may win 6 as Illinois is pretty bad but I dont think guarantee! Could be worse Could be Michigan State which likely will not win 6. How crazy is it for the Big Ten west and East champs not even making a bowl the following year?

One last point For those that think Iowa should be winning 8+ games every year I refer to Michigan State. With few exceptions its tough to stay up there

C'mon dude, is this suppose to be some cautionary tale? MSU has won 11+ games 4 out of last 5 years. If Iowa had that then this train wreck of a season would be acceptable.

We could have played better against Wisconsin too if the game wouldn't have been at Kinnick.

Are we asking too much to just win the games you should?! See Northwestern and NDSU
yes.
this.
dead on.

KF's good-will deficit wouldn't drain to zero by mid-season every other season if he would just beat the teams he is supposed to.

That's not "high" or "unrealistic" expectations to win games you're supposed to. And, no, I don't have an "unrealistic" expectation of winning every game you're supposed to. Winning 9 of 10 isn't a "high" expectation. Winning 10 of 10 against MAC, Sunbelt, I-AA programs isn't unrealistic either.

I'd trade Ws against NDSU and NW for a beat down loss against Wisky instead of a play-it-close, give-some-hope, but-still-handled-more-easily-than-the-score indicates loss. A handful of teams have suffered beat downs this year and are still having good seasons because they beat the teams they are supposed to beat.

7-1 with a beat down and still a chance to win the west sounds better than 5-3 and 3 close losses. All 3 at home, too. Paying that kind of money to lose to teams you should beat at home and end up with a crappy home record sucks.
