Looking for any updates on some of the remaining targets for the Hawkeyes. Kouandijio, Hendy, McCall, Tapp, etc. Pretty excited about the class we have signed thus far, and I was surprised at how successful this current freshman class have been. I read somewhere earlier that Tom Lemmings stated that Ferentz and his staff are top 3 in the country at finding talent and then developing it for on the field results. It went on to say that if the Hawkeyes were recruiting a player it wouldnt be long before other teams would also jump into the fray. I think a lot of people in our area know this is a strength of our staff, it was nice to hear someone say it nationally.

Sounds like McCall is a "soft" commitment right now.

He is technically committed to Iowa, but plans to take some more visits.

I would love to see Coker, Coe and Mc Call in the back field next year, maybe not next year but the year after we would be a really strong contender. Those 3 remind me of what Wisky did this year. Once they cant stop the run, Vandenberg will excell at qb. Plus we have a good O line to run and pass behind.
So if anyone has a hook up to mc call tell him to get off the fence and commit to Iowa, cuz the futures so bright he will have to wear shades.

We definitely need a running back! Probably another still. Being as we lost another RB in Rogers. Sounds like his career is over. Lucky they found his problem now, rather than later in life. One more hit and Robinson's career is over, too...
The O-line is going to be fantastic. We needs some bodies to run the ball!

Defense has a chance to be good, but we are very very thin at depth in all positions.

I would love to get McCall, from some of his highlights it appears he runs quite angry. Even more so I would like to somehow steal Kouandijio from Bama. It would be quite a O-Line class to get two top 10 guards (Walsh, Blythe) and a top 5 tackle in Kouandijio. Also, we will have Donnal coming off his redshirt year. Does anyone know what position we recruited Torrey Campbell to play? It sounds like he may immediately be one of the fastest players on the roster. Just interested if he was a CB or WR.

this week is a dead period, so coaches can not make contact with recruits (though they can call coaches).

typically now Iowa will focus on the big fish left and when/if they miss them, will land projects that none of us know of, so they can keep them under the radar, i.e. away from wisky...
