Look at it this way....they have to come to Carver

Double digit win for the Hawks. Book it. Indiana has a tough road to the finish and again was a bad spot to be in tonight. They needed this win much like Maryland did.

Even the 87 team did not win there.

The fact of the matter is that they did win, unfortunately it's a 3-way tie for 1st Place.. should be a game ahead of everyone at this point.

Don't need to worry about going deep into the tourney let alone beating them at Carver if we don't rebound better and make some damn Freethrows. Our backups had a bad night also.Figure it out and play better.

To me it looked like our game plan was not good and Franimal would not deviate from it. Compound this with a 50% from the FT line and horrible rebounding, mugging D from IU, and then going off on 3's in the first makes for a tough loss.

Indiana played like they were on cocaine or some of Walt's sky blue......we are a good team, a very good team, but I'm not sure good enough to beat another good team, at their very best, on their own homecourt. Tough to do.

Disappointing, but not shocking. Hopefully our future road opponents (Penn St, Ohio St, and Michigan) don't get the sky blue that Indiana had tonight.

I'll take our chances with Indiana as opposed to Maryland any day of the week. Indiana shot like 99% from the line until 2 misses late, had multiple last second shots fall to avoid shot clock violations. They had more offensive rebounds than we had defensive in the first half and our bench sucked. Oh yeah and we shot like 50% from the line.

Too many things swung Indianas way tonight. We'll beat them at Carver.

We'll be 14-2 going into that game and 7 people who are only on here to say dumb **** when we lose will flip out that we never win anything because Yogi hits the opening three of the game.

This team will probably be a 2 through 4 seed in the tournament. They may get to the sweet sixteen, but the minute they face a hot shooting team (especially if they don't rebound like tonight and the guards carve them up on the dribble drive), or a team with athletic, big bigs, they will be in trouble. Would not be shocked for another Northwestern St loss either.

I'm just hoping, somehow, Iowa can get a piece of the regular season title.

If they want that 2 or 1 line, they better finish out strong and do very well in the Big Ten Tournament.

A lot of our mistakes could easily be contributed to playing on the road. Teams don't stay hot shooting against us. Even Indiana shot very poorly from three in the second half. We dug ourselves a pretty deep hole and got beat. We could easily lose because it's one and done but we could still easily win the whole thing too.

The activity level wasn't there playing zone in the first half. Activity level picked up considerably in the beginning of the second playing man defense. It's hard to maintain that though when you have to comeback with your starters exclusively.

Uhl is averaging 3 points in our 5 losses. I don't want to break my keyboard so I'll refrain from talking about what he did in this game. To be fair, the entire bench struggled too.

I look forward to the rematch.

Missing as many free throws as we did and our **** poor rebounding really make me want to punch a stripper in her vagina.

I really think Iowa's problem in the Big Dance will be when they face a team that has athletic big bigs. If Woody gets in foul trouble, unless Dom is playing at his best (and that might still might not be enough) and our guards our shooting very well, I think that is when we will bow out. I think the Maryland game was a good example of that (although we played pretty poorly).

I'm also just not sure that our team is that good that we can match another good team playing at their peak. And everyone is getting up for us. That worries me also with future road games at Penn St, at Ohio St, and Michigan. Not that those teams are juggernants, but they likely be up for us. I could see a couple more losses there.

If Woodbury is out then Wagner needs to be in. He's the only guy besides Woody who can really bang down low. We get destroyed when we try and put Uhl down there.

But we just blew out three teams who were up for us. How many teams have athletic bigs? We beat the same team twice who has. Again, we aren't immune from a bad game but there isn't a single team dancing who is. We probably won't win it all because in a 68 team tournament the odds are technically against any individual team doing it but this team has a very, very good chance of doing so. I don't see the point in getting nervous just because....this is the best Iowa basketball team we've seen in 30 years. Getting nervous about how they may fair in a game 1 month from now just because they narrowly lost one now doesn't really seem purposeful to me.

I say we got hurt more when Bryant was out. We had hard time guarding undersized center who could shoot the ball-guy. Not that Bryant was playing poorly at all but we seemed more locked in defensively when he was in (aside from the rebounding)

Two road losses at two of the toughest Big venues. Calm down everyone. Hawks could have won both games. Lets hope indiana beats Maryland and Hawks will take care of business at Carver. If Iowa gets beat by Minny or Penn then I'll panic.

If Iowa gets beat by Minny there won't be enough mental health specialists to deal with all of the suicide watches.
