OK, now that IU is starting to get blown out of the building at MSU, we see the real team. Poor shooting....
Barring a big time comeback......

Facts are people, they played out their arse against the Hawks, shot all their bullets.
I look forward to the Hawks throwing haymakers against them on the return visit.

um, facts are Indiana is an explosive offensive team, leading the league in scoring and shooting percentage. pesky things, those facts eh?

They did shoot lights out against Iowa but they have a great PG which will always make them dangerous and their defense has a pulse this year. I wouldn't write them off.

I am glad that Sparty is beating up on IU today but....... How the hell does Izzo get away with throwing that many F-bombs at officials and get away with it? The other ref came over after Izzo imploded and Izzo yells out to the ref "F*** him, F*** him, etc. I would think that behavior garners a T for most college coaches, not Spazzo though.

....down 20 with four and a half to go. Getting ridiculous.

being an explosive offensive team means they are a heavyweight? odd, buy okay. another pesky little fact for ya....Indiana shot below their season average against Iowa, like mid 40's percentage wise. Iowa lost the game because they gave up way too many second chance points in the first half and shot poorly from the free throw line.

We are seeing what we usually see in college basketball, that the home teams wins the majority of the time.

Also, this season, no one is CLEARLY head and shoulders good above anybody else, so that makes winning on the road even tougher.

Iowa has been in every game they have lost..Had the ball bounced our way ,could have won. Most of our games have been double digit wins and could have been worse had Fran didn't take the foot off the gas. Indiana has a few more butt kickins coming their way.

Indiana really fed off their crowd in the first half and late in the second half. That no doubt played a part in Iowa's poor free throw shooting. Indiana did beat us on the boards, but anyone who watched the game saw that an abnormally high of the missed shots in the first half bounced literally right to them.

Indiana loses at Penn State, beats Iowa at home and then loses at michigan state.

Bottom line is that Iowa game was a must win for Indiana and they won it on their home court like they were supposed to. They're still a good team and they're still a dangerous team. They could show up to the BTT and light it up and send any team home early, including Iowa/Maryland/Michigan State.

explosive offensive team generally means a heavyweight, yes arkansasinhawkland.

No, it really doesn't. Iowa was an explosive offensive team a couple years ago, but they were hardly a heavyweight. Explosive offense means you can score points in bunches. Doesn't mean you're going to shoot the lights out every night or that you play any defense.

I'm sure that Tom Cream has something to do with it!
