Logic Named Big Ten Player of the Week - Iowa Official Athletic Site

Congrats to Logic. From article:

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- University of Iowa junior guard Samantha Logic has been named Big Ten Player of Week for the third time this season, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Logic (5-foot-9) -- the Big Ten leader in assists (7.4/game) -- nearly averaged a triple-double in Iowa's two wins last week, averaging 17.0 points, 10.0 assists and 9.5 rebounds.

In the Hawkeyes' win at No. 9 Penn State on Feb. 6, Logic posted her second triple-double of the year, and the third of her career, with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. She has the most triple-doubles of any player in program history, and the most of any player in the Big Ten.

She is as tough as they come. Bluder hit the jackpot with that one.

Recruiting is on an upswing, too. Disterhoft and Kastanek were both 4-star, top 100 recruits (rated at 93 and 92 and ranked 69 and 100, respectively) and Chase Coley (#93, 4-star) is signed in the 2014 class with three 3-star recruits (two of whom are rated at 90). For perspective on those ratings, I believe Logic was rated at 96 when she finished her last AAU circuit. So Bluder seems to be having a very nice run in recruiting and the next couple years could be special.

She's not a good player, she's a GREAT player. I think Disterhoft has a chance to be an all-timer as well.

She's a better version of Kach. And that's really saying something.

Somewhat similar in play, but I have always liked Sam, she plays very hard and tough and is only getting better. I remember when she signed on It was a very big deal.....

LadyHawks are not on enough. Love to watch them.....

With players like that coming in, we could beat Gonzaga at Gonaza in the tournament.....

Is discussing womens hoops not allowed? I was replying in the other thread and it vanished. It must have ventured into the barmuda triangle.
