Lineup

So it doesn't seem likely we will add a big for next year and that is concerning for both next year and for the year after. What will be the options?

Clearly Brommer and Archie won't be able to play the center position for 40 minutes a game. I say we would be lucky to get 20 minutes out of Brommer and 10 out of Archie. Would we go with White and Basabe in the post?

If they don't add a post, which I think they will, it wouldn't surprise me to see that for a couple of minutes here and there. However, I doubt it would be a classic PG, SG, SF, PF, C arrangement. I'd envision something more like a PG, SG, SG/WF, WF, PF lineup, say Cartwright/Gatens/Hubbard/White/Mel, a point, 3 wings and a big. There's a LOT of schools that use similar lineups (even in the B1G) for a change of pace. You even see a 4 guard/1 post lineup ocassionally.

I don't think you'd see what I posted above as a starting lineup, but for a couple of minutes two or three time per game? Sure. You could replace Gatens w/Hubbard or Oglesby, Hubbard w/May or Marble, BC w/Hubbard or Marble and so on. I'm not so much referring to specific players, just types of players.
