I've heard the staff LOVES Kirksey.

I think he's around 200 pounds right now so he'll need to add some weight.

If he can get to at least 220, I think he'll have a chance.

I thought Kirk said last week during his presser or on the side that Kirksey has put on about 15 pounds since the start of camp.

I'd mark Kirksey as the favorite for that job as of now. Don't rule out a
Nielsen
Davis
Morris
triumvirate though.

On a somewhat related note, was Kirksey banged up this past weekend?

Davis will not start- he does not cover the pass well. He also is stiff and does not move as well as the other LBer's from side to side. Not being mean calling it as I see it.

He started a couple games early this year and would have started Saturday had he been healthy. Just sayin'...

Is that scenario ideal? No. Hence, why I said Kirksey is the favorite, assuming he continues to develop and stays healthy.

I have a mancrush on BRUUUCE thanks to his kick coverage. Unfortunately, he didn't look great at MLB this year. I'm hoping he proves us wrong next year!
