Like The Hires

Kudos to Coach Ferentz for the two recent offensive staff hires.

One would like to think that Levar Woods and Brian Ferentz will add to the recruiting capabilities of Lester Erb and Darrell Wilson. Hopefully, their youth will be an asset in helping this staff win the future recruiting wars.

When I first saw the mention of Tom Moore and I saw his age, I was skeptical.

As time has passed and I rationalize my thoughts, I hope Tom Moore is hired.

It would be great to have him groom Campbell or whomever to elevate to offensive coordinator in 12 to 24 months.

As I read his pedigree, I found it kind of exciting in terms of thinking of his success rate in the red zone. Bring it On !!!

These two hires could be great.

But KF has the chance to still hit a home run with OC hire. If one thinks of Iowa as averaging around a top 25 ranking then we need a top flight OC. Someone who can squeeze one extra TD per game out of the players.

If Iowa as averaged about a 25 ranking the last 10 years with an offense that ranks 70+ then just think how dynamica and great the team can be with an offense that ranks 30th.

We all know the 2010 season would have been spectacular if the offense had of moved the ball better, rested the defense and scored even another FG per game, let alone a TD per game.

I 100 percent agree Tom Moore would be one of the largest hires in the history of Iowa and B1G history hands down, a way bigger coup than Mattison at Michigan as d coordinator. If we got Moore it would be like Monty Kiffin type of hire. These moves have to have everyone taking notice in the big ten and nationally which should have everyone beyond happy.
