Let's not forget about Koehn

That was a big time kick and under pressure. What I saw today was a kid with a big leg that could be a lethal weapon, once he gains confidence. Very nice kick!

The one touchback flew into the stands didn't? I agree. If this kid can develop accuracy and consistently he be kicking for a very long time.

Coming into the day, he was top 20 in the country in kick distance and touchback percentage, and he kept it up today. He has been a good contributor, even with FG struggles.

If he misses that FG, then pitt probably wins 23-21

Don't forget about the defense too, holding Pitt to 3 points in 2nd half.

We really needed that and we need a good consistent kicker..although the offense has scored a lot more points by going for it on 4th in the red zone..

Wow that's a good point that I didn't even think about. That was a money kick right down the middle. Hopefully that gives him confidence going forward.

Of course the Pitt kicker might have missed the game winner at the end. Ha I couldn't even type that without laughing. Of course he makes it.

This is a good point too. If we had a trustworthy field goal kicker we probably lose the game by kicking field goals instead of scoring touchdowns.

Think about how many fans before this game wanted Iowa to never kick a FG again based on previous games. Kirk didn't give up on this kid and look what happened.

Two big time kicks so that is great.

Love his leg strength on kick offs just as much. Saving tons of hidden yards. I have been yearning for a guy who can pound it for touch backs. We have not had a kicker that can do this forever.

Fantastic kick. That baby never wavered once he kicked it. Right down the middle all the way. I think it's been awhile since I've seen one of our kickers kick one that far.

He would have hit that from 60 too.

Marshall Koehn's 52 Yd Field goal was huge. Big, big catalyst for Iowa and prevented
Pitt from being able to go w FG.

Very young, however, Marshall Koehn has as Strong a leg as any
Iowa kicker, ever. He's got quite a ways to go to match Kaedo though.

I don't think anyone is making that comparison just yet. ;)

That was a beautiful kick. It was also great to see the team celebrate with him after he nailed it. Definitely a confidence booster for him.

I'm willing to say he has a stronger leg than Nate did after seeing that kick today.
In fact I feel like he has the strongest leg of any Iowa kicker.
