When Iowa hired Tom Davis from Stanford this was his resume of 4 years there.....conference records in parentheses.

Stanford Cardinal (Pac 10)
1982-83 ...... 14-14 (6-12)
1983-84 ...... 19-12 (8-10)
1984-85 ...... 11-17 (3-15)
1985-86 ...... 14-16 (8-10)

Before we all judge our next coach let's all have a little perspective of who we are and where we have been.

Good thing we've got Armstrong, Marble, Horton...etc on the roster....

Oh wait, their might be a Marble

Stanford Cardinal
1979–80 Dick DiBiaso 7–19 5–13 7
1980–81 Dick DiBiaso 9–18 5–13 8T
1981–82 Dick DiBiaso 7–20 2–16 10

Tom Davis = Improved --- Pac 10 > MAAC

I'm just saying, there was nothing to suggest that Tom Davis was a great hire. He never won a conference championship in his career. The Iowa job must not have been too appealing at that time.

I get the feeling he won't dodge questions... Liking this more and more.. maybe..
