I've seen tons of jaw dropping stats posted on here and on twitter. Most people see them and are astonished and then move on and forget about them. "That's football". I say we combine all these stats together in this thread so we can really shed some light on the Iowa Hawkeye Football program under Ferentz. Here are a few I've seen over the past few days. Some are older than others. Please post ones I've missed as I'm sure there's many many more.
Kirk Ferentz has 10 losses in last 2 seasons. In those losses, Iowa was outscored 175-96 in 2nd half. Hawkeyes led at half in 5 of the L's.
Bo Pelini just 6th coach ever @ Power 5 school to win 9 games in each of first 7 seasons and was fired. Ferentz hasn't won 9 games in a season since 2009.
Iowa is 9-18 (33%) vs teams finishing the season over .500 since 2011. 2001-2004, Hawkeyes were 20-9 vs teams finishing the season over .500.
