LeShun Daniels, Riley McCarron Win B1G Weekly Awards

I'm gonna keep saying it over and over. This team has talent. If employed correctly the team is 9-2 (at minimum) right now.

Yeah I think the Oline being shuffled around so much (for all the different reasons) is probably the least talked about but maybe the biggest reason for it. I honestly thought they'd dominate teams running the ball after last yr and it's only happened in spurts. And they have been pretty much mediocre to bad in pass protection. It's not all the WRs or CJ in why the passing game has struggled. It's also play calling and Oline...

Nothing to disagree with. One of the toughest things for a coach is to put the right pieces in the right place.

Rugamba
Faith
Gair
O-line
Mitchell at WR
Bower splitting time with another LBer

The talent is there. Coach has to get it on the field and in the right spots. I don't think Stanley starting over CJB is the answer.

Yeah Rugamba has been awesome. Benching Mabin for him woulda been next to impossible at the start of the year although at this point if Mabin were healthy it'd look like that should happen. I'll tell you what I wish Iowa would do more of and that would be have been play Rugamba instead of Bower in on obvious passing downs.... Why Iowa likes to continue having LBs cover WRs and RBs in space is beyond me when there's little threat of a running play being called. Granted our outside backers have had their moments but playing situational football is a big deal and Iowa continuously finds ways to mess that up too.
