Led Wadley play

Daniels just doesn't have it... he didn't have a ton of pop before the injury and now he just drifts into the line of scrimmage.

I think Wadley (though slightly built) could be the real deal if he can get past his fumbling. Even against North Texas there was a run where he only gained like 2 years.. but he angled his body to avoid a hit and kind of sliced through the defenders.

He has instincts that none of our guys have.

I don't think they should give up on him yet.

You say that now, but what will you say when he coughs up the ball in a close game?

I agree with you that he is a special talent, but if you can't hold onto the ball none of that talent matters. I don't think they've given up on him though.

Wadley weighs 132 pounds and fumbles every second touch because he doesn't have the size and strength to hold onto the ball with contact. Why should we led him play?

Yes, Maybe 3rd down, gadget plays. Would like to see him get touches. Dont want JC to wear down over course of season.

The way I see it...when he stops fumbling in practice, he might get to play in a game. Kirk said he wasn't ready, and that he has to learn to hold on to the ball.

No one disagrees with that. If KF doesn't think he's ready, who are we to argue?

Does he fumble in practice?

Not sure if that has ever been said.. we have seen him in games.

I'm just not ready to give up on the guy.

We have to run somebody. JC can't be doing 25 carries/game and LD isn't 100%. If Mitchell can't play, Joly or Graham needs to get some action. Hopefully not Graham, he's scheduled to redshirt

I think we have a double reverse toss play with a couple wide receivers running behind the line of scrimmage that he could run.

The hawkeyes had very bad field position in the 4th qtr yesterday so Wadley not seeing the field in that situation. Hawks lucked out when canzeri fumbled but that was one fumble in 26 carries.

Field position in the 3rd qtr wasnt much better.

But I do agree that once the offense is on the opponents 40 or so Wadley could get a couple of plays to give canzeri a break.

I say Canzeri is fumble prone but is playing because he's the only running back Iowa has except for CJ. Daniels ran for 9 yards on 4 carries in the Wisconsin game. This is unacceptable. Someone has to back up Canzeri...And put red shirts on all the running backs in practice so at least they won't get hurt in practice..we're talkin' about practice.

Compared to who?

Please make that argument for us, and don't forget to consider the sample size. Canzeri has 30 times the number of carries as AW.

Wadley has fumbled in every game he has been in, so if KF doesn't think he is ready, he isn't ready. No one is doubting his running ability.

Wadely didn't fumble in the N. Texas game did he?? Canzeri did fumble yesterday and we got lucky to get the recovery. We need to get someone else some reps - Parker ???

So Wadley deserves a 6th chance? Or is it 7 now? He needs to work hard and hope he gets a shot next year.

He only has 8 total carries for 35 yards this season with 1 TD and 1 fumble.
....all of those yards came during garbage time.

Led me get this straight. Wadley should play only if he does not fumble no more, but if he does he shouldn't play.
