Lebron James... dumbest decision ever

just wanting to get some other thoughts.. after watching the bulls beat Miami without drose, it is apparent that the bulls have an overall better team than Miami. bringing me to this question... if he really wanted a title... why would he go to Miami where wade is their only player as opposed to Chicago where they had rose, Noah, deng, boozer all under contract.

as a bulls fan.. I am happy with the team... just seems like he made an incredibly idiotic decision that could have resulted in a championship in year 1..
 
Yeah the Bulls really looked like they were the better team in the playoffs last year. Also, the Bulls wouldn't be able to keep all of those guys if they had LeBron under contract as well.

But yes, a Bosh, Noah, Rose supporting cast would probably be slightly better than what he has in Miami. Bosh had said he wouldn't sign with Chicago however, and who knows how playing with LeBron would have affected Rose's development.

Did you watch the playoffs last year?

This is one of the most blindly homer posts I've seen around here and that's saying something.
 
You do realize that the bulls were going all out while Miami was walking around. In June when Miami sweeps Chicago you will see why this post is wrong.
 
I am not saying the bulls are better than the heat... but they cleared out enough cap space to sign lebron and boozer both along with their current players... that being said if lebron had gone to Chicago.. which is the better lineup...

or

Chalmers, wade, James, bosh, Joel Anthony.

rose > Chalmers
wade > deng
boozer = bosh
Noah > Anthony

boozer is not equal to Bosh. It's not reallly close either. Boozer isn't even the best 4 on his own team, Gibson is.

Also, Rose and Lebron would have the same difficulty that Wade and Lebron have. Both need the ball in their hands and neither are great outside shooters for one of them to kick it out to.

Lebron's ideal teammates would be Dwight Howard and an elite shooter like Dirk.

when the bulls bench outscores Miami bench 57-9 with cj in the starting lineup. I am saying that his surrounding cast would be better in Chicago.. I think the heat beat Chicago in a series.. just saying a better surrounding cast and a way better coach, he likely would have won a champ last year.

ok... you got me there. the point was with lebron out of the equation.
I agree that Miami will probably win a series against Chicago. I think he could win a champ faster in Chicago than Miami.

questioning his decision based on the pieces that were in place when he made his decision.
 
that's because "king james" is a flake and will never have that killer instinct like MJ. He needs someone to carry him because he cannot do it himself. notice how whenever there is a last second shot he passes the ball? MJ never did that.
 
Miami aint sweeping Chicago.

Actually, Miami will be losing to Chicago in the playoffs.

I feel like last years Bulls team wasn't ready and they were scared. They're ready this year, look at how someone like Noah is playing right now, far different than in that series. The Bulls are going to be ready this time.

reserves are way more experienced. asik is tons better... boozer is having a better and healthier year. I like the chances, but lebron and dwade are tough in the playoffs. bosh will still be soft in the post and will get handled by boozer, Noah, asik, and gibson.
 
Thibodeau is one of if not the best defensive coaches in the league. This year the focus has pretty much been on Miami. I feel like if you give a coach like him enough time (and talent of course, which the Bulls have) he'll find a way to beat them.
 
It might have been a package deal with DWade and the Bulls had money for both. I remember Chicago was in the DWade sweepstakes as well, and he is from Chicago. But all this happened before DRose's break out season. No one knew that DRose was going to be this good. Looking back on it I am sure both of them wish they had signed with Chicago.

Everything you said was correct, except for the last sentence. John Paxson and Steve Kerr got their names because they knew if MJ passed to them for the last shot that they had to make it because if they didn't they would not get another chance.
