LB athleticism vs scheme: IA vs WI

Watching WI eviscerate NW in the second half with their LBs makes me wonder. Are their LBs that much more athletic than Iowa's or is their scheme that much better. I know, I know, Jewell, but he's only one of 3. Remember, WI lost a couple guys to the NFL last year and one to season ending injury this spring. So, do they have LBs that are that much more athletic, do they scheme better with more aggression or does Iowa also have more athletic guys but play the experienced players instead? Losing Jewell will certainly leave a void but may we actually see an athletic upgrade at LB in 2018. I'd like to see more 2013 LB athleticism and less 2017.
 
Your 2013 linebackers were NFL quality. Kirksey still playing well but I dont know if Hitchens is still in the league. Morris may have made a squad for awhile. These three are about as good as greenway and hodge group.

Jewell is very good, Niemann has good speed and might make a roster as a third down and special teams type person.

Hitchens is still in the league and I believe he was in line to start for Dallas until he suffered a season ending injury and got placed on IR.
 
To answer the OP's question though, no, their LB's aren't more athletic. I'm pretty sure 2 of their starters are out for the year.

Uihawk82, this would suggest its scheme. WI looks more athletic bc of it.
