Donahue, Stanzi, DJK, Mcnutt and you lose to the likes of Minny and should have lost to IU. Then this year lose to the likes of ISU and one of the worst teams in all of the FBS and FCS.

Tell me this isn't coaching or something internal. You can only use the execution excuse so much.

Speaking of downward spirals, you might as well throw Prater in that category as well. It is certainly apparent that his NFL stock is going down. He played much better the last two years than he is this year. Sorry to see because I think he is a great kid with lots of upside. Just isn't showing it this year.

It is only going to get worse, especially this year. Three of their last four games are on the road. We can chock those games up as losses because there is no way THIS team is going to win a game on the road. If they couldn't beat Minnesota do any of you actually think they can beat Michigan, Purdue, or Nebraska. In fact, with the defense this team has, it is probably safe to say that two of those teams are really going to beat the hell out of Iowa. Purdue is getting better; Iowa getting worse, so it is fairly safe to say Purdue will beat Iowa.

And the only other game is MSU who plays physical football. Iowa is no where near a physical team anymore. I just hope MSU players don't hurt a lot of our players. Typically Iowa plays a physical game with MSU...not this year. Again, I just hope MSU doesn't hurt to many of our players, especially the defense. Cousins wil pick Iowa apart because our front line will never come close to him. This front four couldn't penetrate a high school offense let along put pressure on the QB. And OF COURSE we won't blitz because only bad things happen when we blitz, unless it is the other team that has great success blitzing against Iowa. Norm will change NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING, and then sit in his booth and wonder why our front four can't get to the QB.

By about the middle of the Michigan game after Michigan is manhandling Iowa on both sides of the ball, the team will give up for the year, just like last year. Hell, the coaches might give up on the team before the team gives up.

Nebraska will cornhole Iowa like Iowa hasn't seen in a long time. That rivalry if it ever is established will have to be put on hold for a few years.

I'm doubting it'll ever be much of a rivalry. If things keep going the way they are around here, Iowa might lose itself right out of that Thanksgiving Weekend game on future schedules.

I don't disagree with your sentiment, but Michigan is a home game.
