I think this team is still going to struggle at times this season when the outside shots are not falling (no brainer). We are seeing constant zone-defenses now because we can chew people up in the man but the outside shooting is suspect at times.
We actually have more players that can shoot the '3' this year but they are mostly un-proven. I think this will improve as the season progresses and the kids gain confidence.
What I will say is I thought we had lost the game in the first half and it reminded me very much of the Campbell game last season. In both games the other team punched us in the mouth but this time we had a big answer in the second half. To me this symobolizes another baby-step forward in this program.
Very exciting times as we watch the program continue to grow. The freshman are really good and some of the veterans have improved as well - Bassabe has even added a decent mid-range jumper.
