Last 1:43 of first half, old Kirk

I dont think many have talked about this. They were moving the ball, taking a little less time per play, moved it out to about their 40, then I think a sack and KF went all turtle conservative with 3 time outs and the wind.

At the least you can throw a couple long bomb jump balls and give your players a chance to succeed.

I think this hurts the players and especially the chances to win.

The old KF is back and a friend said KF wanted to cash in his unused timeouts for coupons at the store.

Yep, that is one more thing about this game that we have not talked about (ranted). I think I booed about the way the half ended. No sense of urgency. Same old shit. What harm would come by going vertical.. and if its not there...throw it away.

This was inexcusable. On a day when the wind at your back was an absolute premium, Iowa completely booted one of those opportunities. Each team only got a few chances with the wind. To squander one of them was complete and utter nonsense. Who cares if Stanley got sacked? Try another play. If it doesn't work, punt the damn ball with the wind. Do you think Purdue was going to try to score from deep in their territory with only a few seconds left.? That was total BS. A massive coaching error.

It is fascinating to watch a coach see what happened against OSU and then be afraid of his own shadow the following weeks. I get that that game was an anomaly but the attitude didn’t need to be.

This whole end of the first half mess was one of my 5 major KF bad coaching decisions in this game. And these bad coaching decisions cascade into other bad situations. I dont think KF needs fired but I think he needs to open it up, speed it up, get some fire and urgency, remember at his age and longevity it is just a game and he loses so many games with his standard operating procedures.

You're not being logical. You're doing that scared-ass shit where everyone on this site says, "I don't want him fired, I just want him to change."

GUESS WHAT, HE AIN'T CHANGING. THAT WAS THE POINT OF THE 2016 CONTRACT. HE DOESN'T LIKE CHANGE. REMEMBER ALL HIS COMMENTS ABOUT THE INTERNET AND SOCIAL MEDIA? SO IF YOU DON'T WANT HIM FIRED, THEN YES, YOU'RE ARGUING TO WATCH THIS CRAP UNTIL HE DIES OF NATURAL CAUSES.
