SCOUTING NORTHWESTERN
The Northwestern Wildcats are 15-11 overall and 6-9 in Big Ten play. In their last game, the Wildcats knocked off Indiana in Evanston, 78-73 in overtime. Northwestern trailed by as many as nine points in the second half, but rallied for the overtime win. Beth Marshall led the way with 26 points while Kendall Hackney added eight rebounds.
Amy Jaeschke leads the team with 16.6 points and 7.2 rebounds. Brittany Orban is the next leading scorer at 9.1 points per contest. Hackney is averaging 5.2 boards per contest.
As a team, Northwestern is shooting .413 from the field, including .336 from three-point and .760 from the free throw line.
NORTHWESTERN VS. IOWA NOTES
• Iowa Head Coach Lisa Bluder and Northwestern Head Coach Joe McKeown met twice before when McKeown was at George Washington. Bluder's 2000-01 Iowa team lost at George Washington (78-64), and her 1994-95 Drake squad fell at George Washington in the second round of the NCAA Tournament (96-93).

The Hawkeyes converted from the charity stripe, knocking down 31 of 37 free throws in the contest. Jaime Printy and Kelly Krei each made nine free throws, while Gabby Machado was a perfect 6-6.

HAWKEYES TAKE CARE OF MINNESOTA
Iowa won its fourth-straight game, defeating Minnesota, 75-54 Thursday in Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Iowa sprinted out to a 26-10 lead in the first 9:06, and took a 50-28 lead into halftime. The Hawkeyes maintained its advantage during a Minnesota run in the second half to walk away with the 21-point victory.
The Hawkeyes outscored Minnesota, 27-20 in the paint, and converted eight Minnesota turnovers into 14 points.
Four starters scored double figures, led by 15 points by Kamille Wahlin. Kachine Alexander turned in another double-double with 14 points and 17 rebounds. Jaime Printy scored 15 points, while Morgan Johnson added 12.
JOHNSON, TEAM SET BLOCKS RECORD
Freshman Morgan Johnson broke both the school and Carver-Hawkeye Arena record for blocks in a single game with eight. The previous school and arena record was seven blocks. Johnson had tied the record twice this season.
Johnson first blocked seven shots at Northern Iowa Nov. 22. She repeated the accomplishment Jan. 14 against Penn State.
In addition, Iowa broke the school record for team blocks in a single game with 13. The previous record was 12 (at Drake, Dec. 20, 2009).
WAHLIN SETS SOPHOMORE TREY MARK
Kamille Wahlin broke Wendy Ausdemore's record for three-pointers made by a sophomore Feb. 18 vs. Minnesota. Wahlin finished with five made three-pointers, which gave her 67 on the year. Ausdemore's record was 62 made three-pointers.
HALFWAY TO 100
Iowa scored 50 points in the first half against Minnesota Feb. 18. The last time Iowa scored 50 or more points in a first half was Nov. 29, 2003 at Florida International. Iowa led 53-34 at half, and won 93-86.
DOUBLE TROUBLE
Kachine Alexander collected her 12th double-double of the season vs. Minnesota Feb. 18. Alexander scored 14 points and grabbed 17 rebounds. She now has 21 career double-doubles.
Alexander had double-doubles in each of Iowa's first three games, before missing the next seven games with a stress fracture. She now has double-doubles in five of Iowa's last six games.
Despite missing seven games, Alexander still ranks third in the Big Ten in double-doubles, behind Ohio State's Jantel Lavendar (16) and Illinois' Jenna Smith (14), who are both post players.
ON A STREAK
Since Jan. 21, Iowa has won seven of its last eight games, with its only loss coming at conference-leader Ohio State. Iowa has moved from last place in the Big Ten to a tie for fourth place. The Hawkeyes are just one game out of second place. Iowa has also moved up 23 spots in the NCAA RPI (74 to 51) since Jan. 21.

Kachine Alexander set two school records and a Big Ten Feb. 14 vs. Illinois.
Alexander's 17 made free throws and 20 free throw attempts were both school records. In addition, the two marks are Carver-Hawkeye records for an Iowa player.
Alexander's 17 made free throws are also the most by a single player in a Big Ten game. The 20 attempts are the third-most by a Big Ten player in conference history.
Alexander has scored 110 of her total 300 points from the free throw line, and is averaging 7.4 trips to the charity stripe per game.
PRINTY SETS FRESHMEN THREE-POINTERS RECORD
Jaime Printy became Iowa's all-time leader for three-pointers made by a freshman Feb. 4 at Ohio State. Printy's four treys against the Buckeyes gave her 50 for the season, which is one better than the previous record of 49, held by Lindsey Meder (1998-99).

Sophomore Kamille Wahlin and freshmen Jaime Printy and Morgan Johnson are putting their names in the Hawkeye records book this season.
• Printy already broke the freshmen record for three-pointers made in a single season at Iowa with 65.
• Printy's 403 points rank third among Hawkeye freshmen. She only needs 13 more points to become the all-time freshmen scoring leader at Iowa. She is currently in third place with 388 points, and trails Megan Skouby (414) and Lisa Becker (416).
• Printy's 80 assists ranks fifth in Iowa history for a freshman. She trails Kristi Smith for third place (82).
• Wahlin has already set the new sophomore three-pointer record. She broke Wendy Ausdemore's previous record of 62. Wahlin currently has 67.
• Johnson's 64 blocks are the second-most for an Iowa freshmen. Tangela Smith (73) is in first place. Smith's 73 blocks also rank first all-time in Iowa history.
