Mohns Expected to Miss 4 Months
Sophomore forward underwent a meniscal repair Thursday



IOWA CITY, Iowa -- University of Iowa women’s basketball forward Carly Mohns underwent a meniscal repair on her left knee on Thursday, Dec. 17 and is expected to miss four months. The injury occurred in practice on Monday, Dec. 14.



The sophomore has played in nine games off the bench this year, averaging 3.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 13.8 minutes per game. Mohns posted a career-high with 11 points against Houston on Nov. 28.



All waiver opportunities will be explored for Mohns to be granted an additional season.

I thought she looked really good in GT Leagues last summer, very quick and athletic. Knee problems are never far away in WBB, sadly.

Claire Till did play well in Iowa's win last night. She is a veteran and she will come through. The good thing is that this years team has much more depth inside than previous teams.
