Before reading this Gazette article, I was completely unaware of KD's importance to our team's success this season. He was responsible for the scout team and was entrusted by the coaches with the creation and execution of every game plan, including the well-studied approaches that blew out Indiana and Davidson. It was fitting, then, for his perfectly executed game plan to give the entire bench playing time in an NCAA Tournament win. Even more fitting was that KD drained his only shot attempted in the tournament, a three ball that essentially gave the middle finger to the Wildcats' supposedly elite long game. His senior scholarship was undoubtedly earned and his leadership will be missed as much as any other's.

Great info. Thanks for posting. Only qualm is that I don't think it was a middle finger so much as a celebratory and cathartic fist-pump in Iowa's biggest win in 14 years.
