Kum & Go

Somehow I think they're having what is called a liquidity event with the sale of the company. It may be the opposite

I thought the old man passed away. Is the next generation huge Hawkeye fans? If not, I suspect they'll spread all over the globe with that money and Iowa might get one big check and then nothing else. Retaining an operating business like that is huge because you can get annual gifts and a big benefactor owning something like that which can serve as a conduit for NIL funds would also be huge. The business ending up in the hands of non-Iowa fans will likely not be a positive development.

They are Hawk fans. Met Bill many times in Okoboji and have even been in his house a few times. He was a regular at my uncle's restaurant. That family bled black and gold. Hopefully the money keeps flowing. They have a lot of it.

I grew up with the Krause clan in Hampton. Great family. I graduated a year ahead of Bill's oldest son, Kevin. We were students at Iowa at the same time. I still consider Kevin a friend.

Bill coached little league and he helped me get a loan on my first house in Hampton.

KG HQ moved to West Des Moines in 1988. A big loss for Hampton but lots of fond memories.

The Krause Family Plaza commemorates their generosity to Iowa.

I once helped move a piano into his Okoboji house :)

Does he consider you a friend. "Seth who? He's in the drunk tank under Kinnick? Nope, never heard of him." I'd bail you out, bro. You know I would.
Snicker to you Jeff. You and I have quaffed a few tail-gate-fueled non-union Coors before they paved over paradise into a parking lot. I remember a couple of games at the Northwestern Basketball Arena as well.

And for the record, I truly have never seen Kinnick Jail...I couldn't find it if I were asked.

Yeah, I know, but were you not present at a HawkeyeNation tailgate wherein someone was arrested?

I indeed was. I think it was because of the drinks you were mixing and the rookie-ness of the individual. I sat with his wife and brother while he rotted aware in the bowels of Kinnick.

I’ve thought about becoming a paid mule going into Kinnick. I hate being cold so several games of the year I wear my Striker ice suit and Kamik boots which keep me toasty warm fishing outside in 0° weather. the suit is huge.

I guarantee you I could easily get through the gates with a case of beer on my person. Not even an inconvenience.

A case qty of beer bought in Kinnick will be approaching $200, hit me up this year if anyone wants in. $50 plus your cost for 24 of whichever beers you like and we’re in business

Are you sure you haven’t been there a few times???

I also see what they did with the jinx goat from wriggly field.

I'd think those pesky PerMar folks would be trained to spot rogue beer in the stands ;)
