16. Utah Jazz (via MIN)

Kris Murray | 6-8 wing | 22 years old | Iowa

Murray has been all sorts of steady this season for Iowa, much like his brother, Keegan, was a season ago. Kris is averaging 20.5 points, eight rebounds and two assists per game while shooting 50 percent from the field, 35 percent from 3 and 75 percent from the line. It’s extremely easy to envision him as a plug-and-play rotation player for a team that needs someone to step in soon. He makes 3s at volume, he’s athletic and strong enough to hold up on defense, and he finishes when he gets a chance inside. He’s a bit more limited as a shot creator and pull-up threat than Keegan was a season ago and also has a bit less in terms of the intersection of his strength and quickness. But Murray should hear his name called somewhere in the top 20 on draft night as one of the most productive upper-class wings in the draft. This may sound a bit silly given that Keegan is a bit better, but teams will consider the fact that Keegan has stepped into the league and immediately been effective.

Barring injury, Kris will get drafted in the 1st round. Unless he puts up insane numbers from here on out, he will not crack the top 10....so you are looking at the 10-20 range.

Oof-da. That's Lauri Markkenan's team. And Lauri has been the breakout player of the NBA this year.

I hope it's not Utah. Would love to see it be the Bulls, where DeRozan is getting up there in age and the jury is still out on whether Patrick Williams wants to show up every night.

He may very well be an NBA selection (almost certainly).......but he has not looked completely ready for it as of late imho. Northwestern student section had it right. There are holes in his game. Shooting consistency seems to be hit or miss (like the rest of the team).

That said, he will probably will look quite NBA ready in some of the remaining games.

How much eligibity does Kris have left? Could he come back for another year at Iowa?
Yes he could come back but he absolutely will not. He's 22 now would be 23 next yr. They'll be players in the NBA younger then him starting their 2nd contracts. He's gotta go and start getting paid. Whatever he's getting in NIL this yr and would get next yr wouldn't be close to what he'll get as a middle of pack 1st round pick. I understood why he flirted with going this last yr just to get his NBA clock started. As it is in the NFL you want to get to the 2nd contract as fast as you can. That's where the real $. Time is his enemy more then anything

He should listen carefully to feed back when decision time rolls around. Really carefully. The his parents and his twin brother.
