Drafted rookie contracts are 4 years in length, he'll get paid once they either A: restructure it, or B:He's allowed to hit the free market.
To say he's underpaid though, I don't know about that. Some bad football came about until the restricted rookie contract CBA rules came about in 2011.
He's going to get paid though and deservedly so.

I won't pretend to know the details of his contract, except to know that he gets 5th round draft pick money and just set the record for receiving yards by a TE.
There should be some kind of rule that automativally kicks you up to 1st round money if you set an nfl record in your 1st or 2nd year.
