Speak for yourself. Kurt hates playing young guys, but we might have a crapload of talent sitting on this bench and as we saw with Jake C., it might just take some time to get it on the field, but once it is on the field, we might all be pleasantly surprised. We're dealing with some pretty big forces on the recruiting front with Nebraska in the conference and Wisconsin's resurgence and I think Kurt is just the guy to take us through it. A coaching change right now could really destabilize the program and I still see us getting to at least 10 wins.

OKeefe...even your brand of sarcastic humor can't wipe away the shitstain we saw today.

I am very indifferent about KF taking a job with the pros.

KF is a nice guy and I would really like for him to be very successful but if he is not willing to change anything or assess his coaching staff or even HIS coaching style, then I really don't care if he goes to the pros. It is getting to the point where you would like to see him at least go interview with the possiblity of taking the job.

Would it hurt the program? Perhaps. But what is the difference if the program is in a downward spiral anyway.

An NFL franchise would be stupid to consider kf. His simplistic schemes would be carved up at that level.

We cant afford to fire this thief. Hopefully he quits. Ripoff city as of late.
That's the problem right there. How many years left on the contract? It's too expensive to buy him out. Best we can hope for now is some changes in the assistant ranks.

Kirk, now that you won't be preparing for any sort of conference championship game, you'll have time on your hands and will be free to pick up the phone. My advice/encouragement from a month ago remains the same.

Can you guys imagine O'Keefe taking the helm as o-coordinator for the KC Chiefs or some other really bad NFL team? The entire bench from my fantasy team would be filled with the defenses that played against them for the first 6 weeks of the season.

KF can't wait for the next basketball game so fans can BBQ Fran and leave him alone for 30 days or so. Great time in Hawkeye Sports.

Just like getting rid of Tom Davis was SUCH a smart idea. And I don't think this year's team is underachieving... if you really think so, you're delusional, they're an average team and that's what their record is. Give KF and crew another year / off season and you'll be fine.
