Kirk Ferentz should be ASHAMED of himself

CJ should not have played the second half, but the fact he is STILL in the game is just downright embarrassing and reflects horribly on our program. Whether or not you think he's a good coach (he's not, he's fucking atrocious) this should make you MAD AS HELL

Yeah. KF has done a lot of things that have irked me in his time but I always held onto the notion that he was making the decision that in his mind would give our team the best chance at winning. CJB, for as much as he's given this program, clearly didn't give us the best chance to win today. It's puzzling

He has thrown for more yards to Florida than he has to his own team. Let that sink in.

Now I was and am and always will be a Beathard supporter, I think he's been coached down as we see so often at Iowa, and he will be coached properly when he gets on an NFL team and I truly believe be a starter or quality backup. However, playing him while injured, game like it is, when you have the future sitting on the bench is just asinine and downright contentious towards your fans and your team.

Me, too, Hock. CJ has won 78% of the games he has started at Iowa. To play him in the second half today did not show him the proper respect. I can only hope KF had a reason to leave him in. I am sure he will need to be ready to answer the questions from the media. Maybe Barta, too.

It's a mystery how he can think that the best thing was at 24-3 to keep CJ in the game. He's either Obamaesque in his delusions of grandeur and dictatorship or he's just plain stupid.

Indiana just fired their head coach FOR CAUSE for doing what KF just did to CJB. If I were the parent of a good HS QB and I watched that game, there is NO WAY I would allow my son to play for Iowa. "Let me get this straight...even if you get a chance to play in the NFL, there's a chance that you may lose that chance because your maniac coach will keep playing you injured?"

If Iowa wanted to get out of their contract, they just got a way.

Yes. This. They weren't going to pull a senior QB.

Well they didn't, but they should have. In the grand scheme of things, CJ was immobile after that play and it put him in far greater danger than he could (and thankfully he's this way, that's what we all love about him) ever realize. It is the COACHES job to not only put the best players on the field to win the game, but to protect the players that NEED protected.

No matter how this will inevitably be spun, Ferentz failed Beathard today.

Ferments should be ashamed for many reasons. Among those is refusal to play Wadley in the red zone. Also classic Iowa hand off left to Daniels on the one yard line. Gee, no one could see that one coming. (Except my wife)
