The biggest misconception about Iowa's program is that Kinnick is a big home field advantage. There was in 2001-2004 (Iowa lost only twice there during that span) but it died on the black out game against Michigan in 2005. Since then they've had some good wins there (2007 Illinois, 2008 PSU, 2011 Michigan) but overall its not a hard place for opponents to play.
Most people forget that a week after that 2008 win against PSU Iowa almost lost in Kinnick to a bad Purdue team. In 2009 they almost got beat by UNI there and NW did beat them. And don't give me the Stanzi excuse. NW was playing with their 2nd & 3rd string QBs that day. Nebraska is undefeated there as a B1G team, Wisconsin hasn't lost in Kinnick in almost a decade and even last season Illinois, Minnesota, and Purdue were within striking distance there. Needed a big FG to beat Pitt. This season has been a joke there.
Honestly, most of the biggest wins in the KF era have been on the road.
