Recall the BJ Armstrong recommendations from the last coaching vacancy.

At least this one has head coaching experience.

Don't necessarily feel that "we need an iowa guy", just offering a suggestion. I just don't Barta landing Pearl, or anyone other buzzworthy candidate.

I don't either, and I didn't mean insinuate that you needed an Iowa guy.

There is a contingent of fans that feel that an Iowa man, no matter how terribly unqualified, is the answer to every coaching vacancy the school has ever had. This leads to posts about bringing in formerly great players despite them having little or no head coaching experience.

Kevin Gamble is a head coach, so I suppose he doesn't qualify in the same way.
