Kentucky/Sparty Game

It's November, I wouldn't read much into losing too 2nd ranked Kentucky. Just 2 years ago MSU lost 4 non conference games, one of them was to Texas Southern, and they wound up in the Final Four.

Keep in mind It's Michigan State and it's Nov. :).

Almost every year the Spartans are tournament ready for the Dance, usually making, at least, the Elite Eight, with the notable exception of last season's bracket-busting, humiliating defeat in the first round.....

I despise Kentucky, the Alabama of college basketball. They sometimes start 5 McDonald's All Americans. I must admit that De-Aaron Fox is fun to watch.....

True, but with the injuries, they have very little quality experience this year under the hoop, and Izzo was not expecting that situation. They may be more up and down than Iowa this year.

Kentucky right now would make anyone look bad. Elite athleticism and defensive team

Yep, this. Most of the "sloppiness" I think should be contributed to Kentucky's ridiculous athleticism, length and depth on the defensive end. Lost of tipped passes etc. that lead to turnovers and points. Just very little room to move on the offensive end.

I understand what you're saying, but there were several turnovers that Kentucky had nothing to do with. I'm sure by the time we play them it will be a different story, though.

Iowa only plays Michigan State once this year, and Michigan State plays Michigan the two out of three games before they play Iowa. I doubt they will be overly focused on Iowa before they play.

Perhaps, but Izzo and the Spartans do hold a serious grudge. Believe they were Number One when we beat them in IC last season, then beat them in Lansing. Knocked them down and did not let them get up.....

Early in Fran's watch at Iowa, we beat them in IC. After the game, they interviewed a Spartan in the locker room, head hanging, towel draped over his head saying: I can't believe we lost to IOWA, man.....

Next game at Lansing they wiped the floor with us. Gave new meaning to ThugBall.....

It is a good thing they have tough games against instate rival, Michigan before the Hawks.....

:)

Somehow when I think of the Spartans, I can't help remembering Travis Trice.....

And Zach who tossed him to the floor like a sweaty jockstrap with a casual shrug.....
