Kenny Ready To Enroll

Excellent. I like the kids that do this; huge advantage over their classmates. The spring practices gives them a huge boost/headstart.
Good for you... Good for you.

At 6-2 210, he is going to need to put on some serious LB's if he is going to want to compete for a starting job. Then again, who knows when those numbers were last updated. He seems like a movitated kid to graduate early and enroll early as well. Maybe he has already hit the weights pretty hard.

He won't have to pack on too much weight if he plans in being the hybrid LB (220ish neighborhood).
I'm not sure what this kid was like in Highschool or what the plans are for him at Iowa; however, it seems like Iowa has been trending towards the hybrid model.

True, good point.

wasn't he souring on Iowa lately? IIRC?

anyway, good for him.

Nah, this kid has been solid since the start. He did talk about how he was disappointed his friend (the other Kenny) decommitted and went to Indiana. He's sent out multiple tweets over the past month talking about how much he liked Kirk and how he couldn't wait to get to Iowa City.

I was surprised he didn't follow Kenney to Indiana but am glad to have him. Especially if he is willing to enroll for the spring semister and get ahead of the other freshman coming in. It might make him see the field this year with all the senior lb's we have, but it will be great for him to spend more time with them and see how they do things, along with more time in the weight room. It will help him the most when he is a sophomore and fighting for playing time.

That is good to hear! I have soured on Ferentz after this last season, but if he is going to stay, I hope the youth movement in the assistant coaches results in more innovation. Plus better recruiting.
