Kenny Arnold Stops by Hawkeye Practice

You just never know what life will throw at you. It takes true grace for a person do deal with real adversity, properly. I've read plenty that that is exactly what KA has shown. True grace.

One of the most underrated Hawkeyes to lace up the sneakers. When you play a few years with the best guard ever to play at Iowa, Ronnie Lester, you tend to get overshadowed. Many Hawkeye fans didn't appreciate him the way they should have at the time. He was money. He could shoot, pass, run the team, and make big free throws. Mr. Forehead was one great Hawkeye.

Great player. Forgot about the broken thumb. Ronnie Lester as the leader had Kenny Arnold during that run. When Arnold was the leader, he didn't have Lester.

Mike Henry's support and unwavering friendship with Kenny is a beautiful thing. "Tree" was always a fan favorite...move than ever now.

One thing I really like about Fran, is his respect and recognition of IOWA bball's history. From his first press conference he made it clear that he embraced the history of Iowa basketball and legacy players. He's shown that he meant it with visits like Kenny's. Fran gets it.

Helluva lot better than the "Butler Way" or "I'm the coach of freaking Iowa", that's for sure....

Kenny was called upon to hold down the fort after Ronnie got hurt in that tournament in Dayton our Final Four season and did a great job. Great to see him up and around.
