Ken O'keefe

Not mentioned thought he called a beautiful game in Miami. The stanzi to moaki rollout was brilliant and I thought he gave stanzi some easy throws to get him in rythm. Run game struggled early yet he never left it and in the end it won it for him. Okeefe runs a system and when we lose he gets reemed, lets give him some props for the system this year being brilliant and his achievements as being a consistant offensive coordinator.

In that first quarter, Iowa was flat dealing...they went to the pass when Tech loaded the box, then they went to the run when Tech dropped their safeties...it was a thing of beauty.

I think they got away from the run late, when they had first down at like the Tech 30 and they went play action and Rick threw the ball flat and too far down the middle to Sandeman that was INC...He had him for a score there...so I guess the call wasnt bad, just the execution....but Iowa cannot be a 2nd and 10 team..or at least, this year they were not a good 2nd and 10 team. They wound up punting on that possession

I for one also was very excited to see the down the field throws in a couple situations. And hey, Marvin Mcnutt with some great coaching by the time he leaves will be a force, I dont know if the system Iowa runs will ever give him great numbers, but I see him being a force in the upcoming years. I felt like to be honest, when DJK got hurt the rythm struggled from thereon out. We looked a little sluggish late second and the third quarter. 4th Quarter I really couldnt tell if the rythm was off or just Iowa maybe trying to put them away maybe made it look sloppy. I for one questioned Brandon Wegher getting the series to put them away, Im glad he proved me wrong. Another great call was the fade to Mcnutt in the endzone, everyone at the party called it before the play happened and Okeefe seems to be realizing mismatches better than he ever has here at Iowa. Also, Props to Kenny Okeefe on the Ohio State game, thought Vandy played great only because of the situations Okeefe put him in, I for one am thrilled with Okeefe's so called I guess progression here at Iowa.

Agreed...the calls were good and without some poor execution we could've been in the 40s.

He had a good game overall, but the 4th quarter wasn't to great. He was passing instead of running after Wegher broke that 19 yard gain, I was livid!

But he had a very good game, yes!
