Ken O'Keefe Q&A

Jon: Thanks for the interview with the OC. Good stuff and it sounds mostly like we are healthy and ready to go.

I'm not Kevin Miller, at Solon, who has an offensive football coordinator mind, or experience, however, thru observation of alot of games there's a couple of things I'd like to see us do.

1) In the running game, instead of always using zone blocking schemes, why not mix in some straight isolation, hit the hole, type of plays to keep defenses off balance. Just think it would take away some predictability which is huge in being successful against good defensive teams.

2) Sometimes, this season, our pass blocking was really, really good. And even with that much time, once in a while, the qb doesn't make a positive play. That cannot happen. Make sure you're seeing the entire field and getting out to the guy that is open. If not, tuck and run or throw it away.

3) We are now pretty salty, at the WR positions. DJK, McNutt former QB's. Stross and Sandeman are now veterans. How about some Hayden fry exotics, mixed in to once again, keep the defenses guessing on every play.

Let's Go Hawks!

For as much crap as this guy gets....I love the way.... his personality..."they are gonna come out and be who they are and were gonna line up and play football..." and then the block and tackle wristband statement...lol....I can see how this guy gets mileage out of kids...thanks for the article..
