Ken O'Keefe Adjusting to New College QB Landscape

so far, i think KOK has been a home run, coming back. personally, i'd rather see him as OC, also. but that's another topic for another thread.

Man, he got hammered by fans when he was OC and many wanted a parade when he left and Davis came in. ;)

Yep and I was the one wanting to be Grand Marshal of that parade. Very, very dumb. Glad he's back and he's going to have his work cut out for him again. I believe you said it before Rob, but I think if PM or SP emerges as clear #2, the other is gone and he's going to be down to 2 scholarship QBs very soon.

Well let's face it people change. I think he probably has enough $ to retire if he wanted. So he does it because that's what he does. IDK if that was true 10 years ago. I'm not saying it wasn't true, but again people change.
As for transferring, I can totally see it after you graduate, if they are basically telling you that you probably will never play. But the only way I could see transferring earlier is if you honestly believe that you will get better tutelage on and off the field somewhere else.

So far Iowa has benefited a lot more from the inbound than lost on the voluntary outbound transfers. It will eventually bite them in the ass, probably at quarterback.

Oddly enough, one I would put high on the list was the transfer of linebacker Jacody Coleman before the 2009 season. Sure could have used an extra experienced linebacker in 2010 & 2011. Receiver Derrick Willies transfer after 2014 season might have hurt over the next few years, but he had trouble learning Davis's system, and wasn't too fond of blocking. Of course neither of those two were graduate transfers.
Watn?
