Kelvin Bell has Grown into Key Member of Hawkeye Staff

If there is continuity when selecting the next head coach, I wouldn't mind seeing a set-up where Parker is given a shot, Woods is an associate head coach, and Bell is the DC.

Parker has been on record several times saying he doesn't want a HC job. If he did he'd have been gone long ago.

He also went on record later saying he'd maybe like trying being a head coach. He definitely doesn't want to be a head coach anywhere - but may want to interview for it at Iowa.

I think it was an interview with Chad, or maybe a question from him, perhaps around the time of fall camp 2019. I know Chad has definitely talked about it, and it was discussed on this board. Parker basically said maybe he would be interested, might be something he wanted to try, etc. Definitely not a full out desire to be head coach, but it was counter to what he had stated in the past and seemed to leave the door open.
