Does this team have some burners or what? Give them a couple more years to develop their OL and they'll have some weapons. McCluster, Arenas, Charles, etc. A lot of homerun hitters there.

That city has been waiting for something to happen for years. They are hungry! Lord knows the Royals have done absolutely nothing for them. (Go Twins.) Good for the Chiefs though, I'm happy they are doing well so far. Took them a bit to get going, but it looks like they are starting to believe they can play with the big boys now.

The most impressive thing for me right now is the Chiefs Defense.

Yeah, once they had the crowd into it after getting some points, they've been playing inspired and flying around on D. Those young guys are starting to learn what kind of effort it takes at that level.

Anybody else pick up when the play-by-play guy said this: "Kansas City is really excited about this group of rookies...3 of whom are from the SEC!!"
It was right after McCluster's punt return TD. It was delivered breathlessly and with great reverence.

I believe the announcer was Brad Nessler, usually he does college football games. I really enjoy listening to him, more than the usual NFL announcers that never get real excited for anything.

Yep, just mentioned Moeaki again. He's spreading the love. But yes, not sure why he had to mention the SEC. Hester on the other side is also out of the SEC, but they didn't mention him because he's not on the Chiefs and a second year player also.
I see your point, it gets old sometimes, but I usually try to remind myself what they are really trying to say (most of KC's rookies from the SEC).

This is only one game but I can already tell this year's Chiefs are gonna be a helluva lot more fun to watch than the last 3. Not exactly tough to do but you get my point....
