Justin Hilliard says on Twitter................

That IOWA is in his Top 5, I think.

Apparently, he had a very good visit, this past weekend at Homecoming game in
Iowa City.

Thoughts??

I think the odds are almost zero that he backs out of his Ohio State commitment. But where there is life, there is hope :)

All I see on his twitter feed is constant love for Ohio State commits and their fans. BTW... worst fans I have ever seen in trips to over 30 college football venues.

So he listed a top 5 recently in his twitter since his visit this last weekend? That in and of itself is somewhat encouraging since he's been committed to OSU for awhile now. I will be really shocked if he flips. Something pretty crazy would have to OSU like them losing badly alot down the stretch and or Meyer leaving for any reason. I just think it's a huge long shot that he'll flip as sweet as it'd be.

Urban finding someone better and not being able to oversign would certainly be reason enough for him to "willingly" decommit.

So yeah, he hasn't listed a top 5 recently and has given zero indication that he may decommit from OSU. He simply took a visit to IC on Iowa's dime to visit his brother. This thread is ridiculous.

Since Hilliard is the #1 LB at wlb by most accounts and a home state kid I have a real tough time thinking that'd happen either. Hilliard is a top priority to them and rightfully so. I just thought by what the guy who started this thread has written that Hilliard himself had twittered (tweeted whatever the proper saying for that is) something about listing his favorites. It would be a pretty weird thing to do if your committed somewhere so that's why I was asking. I'm not following these kids on there so I only know what I see here and other media outfits. The most realistic couple things I could see happening is if OSU has some injuries and the team has some turmoil and Meyer up and quits to go do TV again.... Along with his brother loving his time at Iowa and he has us as 2nd on his list. He's got his pick of the litter of where he'd like to go. And those are pretty much long shots too

It's possible that someone at the DMR website has a twisted sense of humor. There was a headline this morning stating that Iowa had taken a recruit away from OSU.

A wrestler.

So his second visit this fall (that his fam is paying for) is ridiculous too then, right? Since you're the expert here I'll hang up and listen.

Let's see, besides gas to get here what exactly do you think he will be paying for on his visit? Believe what you want but it's a kid coming to hang out with his older brother.

Don't get me wrong I don't fault Iowa for having him come but let's not try and read too much into it.

He's coming on the biggest recruiting weekend of the year for OSU to watch Iowa play Northwestern. If he wanted to just visit his brother on the cheap you would think he'd pick a week that OSU wasn't playing (or welcoming most of their recruiting class).

Meh.

A little more detail to the Hilliard saga. You can tune in at about the 4 minute mark................

I guess you could say there's still a very small crack in the door for Iowa. That opening might go from very small to just small if he actually ends up making the trip for the NW game. Interesting comment about OSU having not yet ruled out that Baker may get a shot at RB. OSU will probably play up that point with the Hilliard family......not that they really need to in all likelihood.

Sure would save Mom & Dad some travel time if the Hilliard boys both played at the same school :)
