247Sports is reporting that Iowa is in the top-2 for defensive tackle Lauren Jackson of East Mississippi CC. When he was a senior in high school (class of '11), Jackson was listed at 6-3, 245 and held offers from Mississippi St and Memphis. Currently, he stands 6-4, 295 and holds offers from Iowa, Florida, Auburn, Mississippi St, Kentucky, and Mizzou. As a freshman last year, Jackson recorded 32 tackles, including 18 solos, 2 TFLs, 4 sacks, and 1 pass break up.

yeah, 2013. It seems a little fishy though with all of the S$C offers he is down to us and Kentucky. I wonder if he actaully has those other offers and I also wonder if his grades will be okay.

Well, a JUCO player has a very limited window once he gets to D-I. Perhaps he sees the opportunity at Iowa and probably Kentucky.

I checked out some game film of EMCC from last year, and Jackson played both end and tackle for them. I haven't been able to find a highlight tape of him. Apparently there's also a former WNBA MVP named Lauren Jackson, which is mucking up Google searches of the name. If/when I find highlights, I'll post them here.
