Josiah Miamen Enters Transfer Portal

Sounds like a talented player who got on Kirk's bad side. Didn't want to wait his turn. Well hopefully he does well at a school Iowa doesn't play. Not everyone can start.
 
I see he was recruited by some major programs at the time he chose Iowa. Maybe he will land with a team with an offense.
 
I would not conclude he's on anyone's bad side. It could be that he just wants to go somewhere and play sooner than latter.

They probably have one on one conversations with players to discuss "where they are" and what the prospects for playing are...and the coach and the player reach consensus.

I think so too. It doesn't look to me like he's a top 4 or 5 round pick so I bet he's coming back. Lachey is good pretty good and Yelverton is up and coming so Miamen saw the writing on the wall. I wish he'd have stuck around and finished the season though. That part is head scratching to me. He'd stuck around and took his punishment for what he did last off season. Just figured he was in good standing with team and everything so why not play out the yr go to a bowl game and start fresh this off season somewhere new. Nobody could blame him for that. I'm sure he's good enough to play

I had read on another board that Miamen had talked with LaPorta and whatever was said factored into his decision. Someone had also posted that he had also gotten into argument with KF about being on the scout team
