Joshua Jackson will have a decision to make about returning for his senior season. Iowa's standout cornerback is not letting that take away focus from his breakout campaign:

The excellence that Josh has displayed this season is remarkable and is aided by having Four Legs to amplify his speed.....

That and excellent timing and hands.....

I don't mind Josh waiting to make his decision, so long as he hires my next generation innovation and media management sports agency to represent him when he does enter the draft early.

Doesn’t he graduate in May? All things considered, WHY would you come back?
Stay to get your degree? Check.
Stay to increase your stock to first round? Check.

Just look at King, he stayed and lost money. We love him being a Hawk but you have to get paid while you can.

Money is a consideration, but it can't buy happiness, nor can you buy back your senior year of college football after making the decision to leave early. Playing with your buddies in college is definitely different than playing for a paycheck in the pros. He will get the right information and make the right decision for him, and I am sure he will be highly successful either way.

We don't know he lost money. Even if he lost some in his first contract, maybe one more year of college will be the difference of him being good enough to get a second contract.

I don't think King was that good. Whatever hype surrounded him was just based on INT numbers. This Jackson kid is the real deal, though. A college resume has little value when you are up for your second NFL contract. They've got years of NFL tape. That's what they care about. If anything, another year of wear and tear hurts your chances to stay longer in the NFL. This dude's gone.

We don't know what NFL player personnel people think of JJ. It's guys like Kiper and McShay hyping him up. Those guys also were high on King and Wadley at this point of the season. But when King and Wadley received feedback from the actual NFL review, they didn't like what they heard. Time will tell on JJ.

I was really excited about Josh Jackson's NFL and Draft potential. But then I looked at his recruiting website profile from a few years ago.

Precursor - I love the fact that Desmond came back for his Sr. year - but in all reality, wasn't his slide in the draft (at least in some part) attributed to his combine stats? I hear what a lot of Hawks on this forum are saying - but still think it's speculative to assume he would have been a 1st rounder after his Jr. year - that is once he went to the combine... It doesn't take a genius (or NFL scout) to figure out that teams simply avoided him last year and that was a big difference between the 2 seasons.

Desmond would have left if he got a first-round grade as a junior. He wouldn’t have tested any better if he came out early and that’s what hurt him last year. Plus, he was viewed as a tweener by some.

Yes, but he will have already graduated.
