Josh O. Not at game

Never want to call out an individual kid, but its obvious at this point that Jok should be getting the minutes going forward.

I knew there was a reason Hawks didn't squander more of the lead / were able to keep scoring when Fran started the rotations.

Be nice. I am sure Josh gives his all when he is out there.

I agree we shouldn't dog a guy that is petting forth effort. I am just stating facts here. His effort leads to results that can be had without him in the game. That is just a cold, hard fact.

Through this point in the Big Ten season he had a total of one game in conference where he has more than one three point basket. He had two in one game one time and I believe one in three other games. Since he doesn't score in any other manner we need to give the majority of the minutes he has been getting to Jok, obviously.

Take a look at his game log and see all of his line scores one after another. It isn't pretty.

This is a competitive game, silly to keep giving minutes to a guy just cause he works hard, need to put the best five out their. His defense doesnt make up for how much of a weakness hes been on offense.

It's hard to argue with any of this. I just hope that he gets in the tourney and just thinks "hey people don't really expect anything of me anyway" then suddenly shoots lights out because he doesn't worry about it anymore. Just really want him to go out on a high note.

We don't seem to be missing him

Many of us had wanted Jok to get JO's minutes all season. Too bad it took his being sick to get them. A little like it taking JR to be hurt to get him out from under center.

Hope JO feels better and rides pine the rest of the season as a cheer leader for Jok.

Team showing potential, GO Hawks!

Hey I'm with ya... During the summer when Jok was going through his issues I said that it would be a crime if Jok wasn't a starter. Granted I was joking making a play on words using the word crime at the time but I was dead serious about Jok being a starter.

I've also perhaps been one if not the only person on the board stating the Jok has NBA level potential.

On the flip side I've been critical in Josh saying he really is on the floor to serve one purpose and he's completely failed that mission this year. Too bad that it has went down like it has because last year he served that purpose, maybe not consistently as some would hope but he had a few huge games.

There seems to be Iowa-itis in both the FB and BB programs.

What is that?

Defined as "the inability to admit a set course of action is not always the best for the program. I.e. showing favoritism to older players, and/or not thinking a younger player can do the job as well."

Comes from 'player development' attitudes and practices. Also stems from practice acumen versus game-day acumen.
