Awesome game tonight vs. Baltimore. 5-5; 4 HRs; 8 RBIs; 2B. He now has 14 HRs, 34 RBIs, and is hitting .406 on the year.

What a beast, when healthy he continues to prove he is one of the top 5 players in the game. Remember the show he put on at Yankee Stadium during the home run derby, str8 unbelievable. Hopefully, he continues to stay sober and beat the demons that tried to beat him.

The 18 TBs tonight is a new AL record; the NL record is 19 and is held by Shawn Green. 4 HR nights are rarer than perfect games.

I feel for the guy, he has been through a lot and made his way back to the game after problems he had with substance abuse. After witnessing what he did in seeing a father fall to his death in front of his son, I don't know if I could ever step into a batters box again.

I hope Hamilton is Theo's #1 target for the Cubs this next offseason.

While I like Hamilton a lot, I hope the Cubs don't sink a bunch of money into him. He is on the wrong side of 30, he is injuried a lot, and I'm sure he will want a 7 year deal.....

I hope Hamilton is Theo's #1 target for the Cubs this next offseason.

He will not be a free agent until after next season. This offseason will be his last year of salary arbitration and I would not be surprised to see Texas lock him up with a multi year deal. The Cubs had him briefly in 2006, they drafted him rule 5 and then sold him to the Reds.

It might be another special night for Hamilton. Through the 4th inning vs. LAA, he's 3/3 with 2 HRs, 2 RBIs, and 3 Rs.

The frustrating thing (as a cardinals fan) is that the insane year Hamilton is having is diminishing the praises beltran is receiving. Beltran is on pace for a .307/63/162 season himself.
