2017 breakdown
Coaches: Ferentz & Sons Inc. Coaching staff way better than Bama's. I am trying to explode some apologist heads.
OFFENSE:
QB - we have depth and talent at the position. First year starters at this position tend to shine.
RB - Wadley and the super-Jesus badass DMX. DMX is faster and more versatile than Daniels. Could be another 1,000/1,000. Bwahahahaha. My fantasy will be squashed by the doghouse brain-trust. Still, Iowa will again have a potent running game.
FB - Kulick and some other guys with talent. BF needs to use these guys for more than blocking.
OL - lose Croston which means the Moore-winning O-line just got better. Seriously.
WR - Vandy + someone will step up. Maybe Scheel. Maybe a true freshman. Probably a walk-on. (ugh)
TE - Iowa has been stocked at this position every year since 81. Next year will be the same. Lots of talent.
Kicker - Duncan MacLeod - there can be only one. The Highlander will be on the Groza watch list.
DEFENSE:
DL - Full Nelson + Epenesa + Hesse + Lattimore + Bazata + Reiff + some others. Lock, Stock and two smoking barrels. JJ will be missed.
LB - the Outlaw + Neiman + Mends. J/K Bower cuz of his crewcut. But we have depth here. And we don't lose any starters. Look for this unit to get even better.
DB - King will be missed. Rugamba steps in to be the next superstar. Snyder will cripple at least rival player. Ojemudia will prove himself, if he doesn't JOSH Jackson will. It is a known fact that Hawkeyes named JOSH are all-stars. Miles Taylor=Weak link that needs to be beat out by Hooker or someone else. Despite question-marks in the D-backfield, as a group they should deliver.
Punter - Colten. I like his name but no way he is as good as Coluzzi. Coaches need to find another graduate transfer (or walk-on?) who can work miracles with his foot.
KR/PR - will miss King but Wadley would be better. Sadly he won't be back there for a plethora of reasons, not the least of which is his fumble reputation. This position will take a step back.
So what does this all add up to?
Iowa will have at least as much talent next year as this year. And since the apologists have informed us that BF is the second coming of Bear Bryant, minimum 8 wins. Look for Iowa to finish behind Nebraska and Wisky in the total wins category. Basically next year will look like this year. Some great wins and another bowl-game embarrassment.
