Jordan Canzeri: makings of another great Hawkeye

This is a wonderful story about an Iowa football player who, regardless of what happens on the field, will be remembered as a great Hawkeye. It says a lot that this marvelous tale has not been public for more than a year and surfaced only after a reporter noticed the "I'm with Jackson" bracelet and asked about it.

Thank you for choosing Iowa, Jordan, and sticking it out when the road got a bit bumpy.

Awesome story, I know first hand what an impact the Iowa players who stop at the UIHC have. To this day Jaryd Cole might be one of my favorite hawkeyes for how he treated one of our family members who was in there fighting Leukemia.

These are the stories that make me proud of our Hawks...Sometimes I might get mad at their performance on the field. But at the end of the day, for the most part, Kirk brings in the "right" kind of kids...they care.

And for the record, while I think the whole "win", "graduate", "do it right" thing was hilarious...there is something to be said for "doing it right". Almost all the Hawkeyes are kids you can be proud of, and they will go on to be productive members of their communities and give back to our University and communities around the country.

On Iowa, and go Hawks!

He deserves to have a good senior go. He's been snakebit by injuries but has always seemed pretty upbeat, positive, and happy to help his team. Here's to him staying healthy and used the way he was in game #1, with similar results going forward.

I really do like how many of these types of stories seem to come out of the Iowa programs. I'm sure all schools have similar stories, but it really does make me feel better about how Iowa rolls.

Good on ya Jordan. Now, go stomp all over those clones.
