Everyone's still consumed with the Indy loss. I was stirring the pot, too but am looking forward to bagging some game over the next 2 weeks leading up to the Hawks exacting some truth on Indiana. So, moving on ...
I absolutely LOVE Jon's current BTT bracket projection of Hawks as #2 seed.
-- It avoids MSU and Purdue. Not only have Hawks been there, done that but those teams are playing some good ball right now. I don't want to test the ol' "tough to beat a team 3 times" cliche.
-- It gives Hawks all sorts of chances to firm up their superiority over the "spoilers" (Wisconsin or Penn State in the quarters) and the "challengers" (Indiana rubber match in the semi's).
-- It gives Hawks all sorts of chances to exact revenge. GOD forbid they lose @ PSU or to Wiscy or to Indy, they can stomp them in the quarters and semi's, leading up to an awesome rematch against the Terps.
I think this is the perfect bracket for Iowa to play its way back up to a #1 seed. Even if they lose to the Terps in the finals, they'd still be #2 seed (as long as they show well).
