If I remember correctly the old HN.com website, had a fee associated with it. Since this new site is all free content, do I somehow need to cancel my old account so my credit card doesn't get a renewal charge? If so, how and where do I do that?

This depends on if you feel there will be value for you at the Iowa Scout site, which will be called www.hawkeyeinsider.com

If you feel there is value there, by all means keep your membership. If you don't, then yes you would probably want to cancel. It's not my desire to see a bunch of people cancel, nor is it my desire for people to keep paying for something they don't feel there is a value for. That is totally your call
