creating a Clubhouse style board here that requires your approval for posting there? It would still be free just that you would be able to limit who posts there? I see posters like Digger getting ripped on and I hope they don't tire of posting here because of it. For those that were accustomed to the Clubhouse knows about Digger and his reputation. It was posters like him that made visiting the Clubhouse a must but not the free boards. The clubhouse was a well-regulated, respectable board that was kept relatively free of trolling by it's pay requirements.

I have thought about a board like that, but I have not yet come up with a way that I feel comfortable with to 'gain entry'. The inclusion by my choice is a thought, but it could create some issues. However, any merit based ideas would certainly be considered. But I am just not sure yet. We have the ability to do things like that with this software. This software has the ability to handle subscriptions and loads of things, but we are not going to do that aspect of it.

How about an "opt-in" feature like Cyclone Fanatic uses with their politics board? You more or less have to "subscribe," for lack of a better term, to view that board.

Understand. It probably sounds elitest but there was a definite, I think, quality difference between the Clubhouse and the freeboards. Not all posters on the free boards are or were bad but I just felt like there wasn't as much 'wading' through 'trash' in the Clubhouse. Hopefully dealing with the 'exceptions' on this site and nipping it in the bud from the get-go will limit the bad posts.

And after posting my question to you I read your warning on the short leash. I think it is really good that you have high standards for your boards and support 100% your efforts to maintain that quality. I want to keep enjoying coming to this site.

I'll volunteer to to be the sole judge. I plan on naming this elite board "Jimmy Bartels' Hideaway"

You're right, that does sound elitest.

Although I know where you are coming from with having some posters put up some ridiculous garbage, do you really have to have your personal room?

Personally, I've found it easy to ignore most posts that have little value.

There is an ignore user feature within this board, too. I will type up a walk through of all of the features over the weekend.

And Mess, I like it
