Jok in U.S. Army?

I didn't fully understand the part with his brother. Was he on bball scholarship to Penn or was he ROTC? Or did he just enlist after graduating college?

What I got out of it, even though they never specifically say it, is that Dau Jok, Pete's oder brother, was on Scholarship to play at Penn. He must have joined the Amy after school was over...

I haven't watched but I do know Dau was on scholarship at Penn to play basketball.

Dau is in the Army Reserve. He has visions of returning to Sudan as a political leader. He probably thinks some military training will be valuable.

Dau said the things he remembers most about his game in Carver was how the Iowa crowd cheered for him. I'm pretty sure he was referring to me because I was at that game.

Seriously one of the classiest things I've ever seen. For Fran and Iowa to schedule that game to begin with and then how Iowas fans cheered for Dau was just awesome. We just have no idea what the path they've both walked was like. It was genuine cheering too not just going through the motions. Dau will always remember that game. They both will and for all the right reasons and that's what Iowa fans should be proud of.
